This episode features the return of Zoffy, who had not appeared since episode thirty-nine of the original Ultraman, Farewell, Ultraman.
Originally during production of Ultraman Ace, Verokron was intended to attack Hiroshima in the episode. However, the people of Hiroshima were still sensitive involving the attacks from the World War II bombings, As a result, the set was altered to resemble Fukuyama City instead.
