The New Generation Heroes

New Generation Heroes (新世代ヒーローズニュージェネレーションヒーローズ,   Nyū Jenerēshon Hīrōzu?) are Ultras that appeared from 2013's Ultraman Ginga to 2019's Ultraman Taiga.


In 2013, after the massive success of the Ultraman Zero series, Tsuburaya Productions revealed that they would produce the first Ultraman television series since 2006. Ultraman Ginga was released to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary and aired as part of the biography series Ultraman Retsuden. The series received two films, Ultraman Ginga: Theater Special in 2013 and Ultraman Ginga: Theater Special Ultra Monster Hero Battle Royal! the following year. Tsuburaya Productions would later establish the show and its successors as a part of the New Generation Heroes series. In 2014, Ginga would receive a sequel series, Ultraman Ginga S. In 2015, the company released the film Ultraman Ginga S the Movie: Showdown! The 10 Ultra Warriors!, the mini-series Ultra Fight Victory and the series Ultraman X which also received a film adaption the next year. In 2016, Tsuburaya Productions released the next series Ultraman Orb to celebrate the Ultraman franchise's 50th anniversary. Orb later received a prequel series, titled Ultraman Orb: The Origin Saga. In the following year, the film Ultraman Orb the Movie: Let Me Borrow the Power of Bonds! was released alongside a mini-series airing not to long after, which revealed the next Ultra Hero, Ultraman Geed, who would star in his own series in the same year that concluded the battle between Ultraman Zero and Ultraman Belial. In 2018, the company released Ultraman Geed the Movie: Connect the Wishes! and aired the last series of Heisei era, Ultraman R/B. In the following year, Ultraman R/B the Movie: Select! The Crystal of Bond was released and marked the debut of the villainous Ultraman Tregear, who would later be the antagonist of the last New Generation Heroes and the first Reiwa era television series Ultraman Taiga. Towards the end of the year, a prequel to Taiga, Ultra Galaxy Fight: New Generation Heroes aired on YouTube. In 2020, Ultraman Taiga the Movie: New Generation Climax is set to conclude the New Generation Heroes series, which will be succeeded by Ultraman Z.
