While DASH was in search for four alien satellites, they were suddenly attacked by four UFOs. Suspecting that it was under the control of the Zettonians, DASH attempted to fight back, only for the UFO to disappear, leaving behind the words "King Joe." Meanwhile having a day off, DASH member Kaito Touma was visiting Natsumi Oda at the daycare, when they saw the children being entertained by a seven-foot tall golden robot called "King Joe." Kaito then spoke with its creator, Ken, about the robot. He discovered that the robot was made up of four segments: the head and shoulders, the body, the right leg and left. DASH, while watching Kaido through their headquarters screen, then analyzed the information.
Later that night, Natsumi was commanded by her superior Zettonian to kill Kaito. She refused, causing the Zettonian to possess her. Later that morning, King Joe suddenly went out of Ken's control, scaring of the children. Kaido rushed to the scene, only to see that King Joe was high in the air, spinning rapidly, creating a tornado and then transformed into a giant mecha. Suddenly, the possessed Natsumi appeared and flew into King Joe, taking control of the mecha and began to fire at Kaito. Kaito pleaded in vain for Natsumi to stop, but was forced to transform into Ultraman Max. The Ultra then fought King Joe with various hits and kicks. However, the robot was to quick, splitting apart to dodge Max's attacks. Max then summoned the Max Galaxy and fired it at King Joe and attempted to break Natsumi out of her trance, reminding her of who she was. Once Natsumi was outside of the robot, Ultraman Max then destroyed King Joe with his Maxium Cannon.
